How to Make Your Blog More Effective

How to make your blog more effective?

Learn how to make your blog more effective and how to monetize your website content. Use these advanced tips in your advantage and attract more traffic.

Successful bloggers make lots of money from their blogs. Sounds good, right? You just write content and after you publish it – money comes in. Is that what blogging is about?

Well, not really. You could be writing about your everyday life just for the sake of doing it, and you probably would not earn much, or maybe at all for that matter.

Having a blog as a hobby versus blogging as a full time profession are two different things. Many people confuse hobby blogging with professional blogging.

In this post we are gonna be addressing these two main misconceptions and we are gonna give the answer on how to make your blog more effective.

Whether you want to earn more money from your website content, or you just want to create more trust between you and your visitors – your content must have some real value for your visitors.

You must provide a solution, advice or a guide of some kind you can offer to your visitors.

Do you want earn money with your blog? If you want to, you are gonna need to write selected content for special type of audience you selected on some criteria.

This specialized audience is called a NICHE audience.

This is needed because you want a profitable niche and a niche that has enough interested people around it. You could be a professional copywriter and have all the amazing writing skills and without the right niche you would still struggle. Check our post about niches and find the one that is right for you.

So, now that we got that sorted out we want to continue with building our website and our content. But what should we do? What kind of content should we create?

Choice is really wide. Your website could be promoting, introducing or reviewing certain products, offers or programs and through that content you will generate your traffic.

The other way to just write about your own experiences and through that story writing you should aim to refer your visitor to some product you found useful.

How to make your blog more effective?

When you get deeper into the blogging world, you will just start to add more and more to people and expand your knowledge and ideas on writing.

While hobby bloggers post without any rule or plan, professional bloggers that aim at monetizing their content do that on regular basis and they have some goals before them.

This is really important for several reasons:

(1) Trust building – Great success is usually followed by many

(2) Professionalism – It is your job to produce quality content on regular basis as a professional blogger

(3) Long term blog goals – as with any business, you must have a clear and long term goals

Smart bloggers use modern SEO (Search Engine Optimization) practices and follow the leaders in this particular field. Without understanding the basics of SEO – you just won’t make money.

What this basically does, it helps you rank your page better on search engines and because of that – you will have more people on your content. And you will have a greater chance of making a sale out of that.

How to make your blog more effective?

That is the most important question any blogger could ask themselves.

Because high quality, helpful and engaging content is what you need to monetize your website. Is this something anyone could do? Can I learn the skills I need to create great blog?

You wouldn’t be here if you taught it was not possible, wouldn’t you? 🙂

Most of the bloggers are not professional writers or journalists. They just do the best they can. And so will you, when you start your new blog.

To make your content interesting and more engaging you should apply one of these steps – or if possible all of them:

  1. Captivating headlines – Important piece of any blog post. Usually you will have one main headline and inside the post itself you will have 2 – 5 blog headlines. What makes a captivating headline in my opinion is call for action, warning of some kind, some sort of promise or a gift, strong or provocative message.
  2. Post Design – Use images that are relevant to the topic, mark the most important parts, make it visually attractive with additional graphics.
  3. Linking – Do not forget about your affiliate links, inbound and outbound links.
  4. Stay relevant – This can actually be applied to any of your posts. Do not try to trick people with fake headlines.
  5. Be honest – You should always recommend products who are really valuable. Do not participate in any sort of scams.

Yes, believe it or not, this is another amazing technique that many bloggers use.

Why? Because there is no any better thing you could do to build trust than actually giving some examples from your life.

You do not need to get too personal, but a backstory and showing how you had your ups and down also, will definitely give people much-needed motivation to start on their own.

You must be ready to open yourself to people so they could really accept your recommendations and advice much easier.

This type of blog posts is not only done for building trust. You can easily use this technique to refer more people to products you are advertising.

If you are attracting visitors and already have engagement, there is no reason why you should not offer some products as advice. Be sure that this is something you are really behind either with your experience or recommendation.

How to make your blog more effective?

That is the most asked question ever. No surprise why.

I can tell you that I got my first commission four months after joining Wealthy Affiliate. But that is my story.

I can give you rough estimation based on members experiences. Let us say that you will  be creating at least 4 keyword rich blog posts per week.

With this tempo, you could earn your first commission after three months.

Keep in mind that your success revolves around you and time and effort you are ready to put in your work and website.

If you are ready to commit, learn and apply what you learned – YOU WILL EARN MORE MONEY THAN YOU EVER TAUGHT YOU COULD EARN.

It is important to give your project at least 8 months – before actually giving final judgment.

Many people lack the will and consistency to succeed. Every business takes time and effort in order to give results.

    1. Hello and thank you for your kind words.

I am really glad you enjoyed my post.

If you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact me.

  1. Hi again, Strahinja,

After reading your post about internal, external and backlinking, I decided to explore your site a bit more and wanted to let you know that this post was very good in helping me understand how to make my blog more effective.

I have two blogs—one is about my life as a grandparent raising a grandchild and the other is about my struggle with type 2 diabetes. I try to write each one uniquely, but your post really hit home on some ways to do that. In fact, I bookmarked this page, so I could refer to it when I go back to write my next blog post. Do you use this format for every blog post you write? or do you switch it up sometimes?

Again, thank you for the very helpful articles!

    1. Hello Karin and thank you for exploring my website.

I am really glad you found my post about linking useful. Thank you for your honest feedback.

Nice to hear you are a fellow blogger also. I will have a look at your blogs later. I myself, also have my favorite blogs on bookmark because it really helps to get back to useful informations before I write an article.

      Thank you for reading.

  2. Another awesome post!  I can never read to much about how to write and blog more effectively.  Consistency is probably the issue I struggle the most with.  Some posts are easier to write than others and often those are the ones that receive the most comments.

As in life, I suppose, blogging wasn’t meant to be a struggle!

I did appreciate reading the importance of including a bit of background or sharing a personal experience with the audience.  This does have a huge impact as readers want to follow a ‘person’ and not some inanimate object.

Do you feel there is an optimal ratio of personal to informational content that we should consider when writing?

    1. Hello and thank you for your comment Susan.

Consistency is what most people struggle with the most. You are not the only one. Do not worry about this and give your best to complete your goals.

As for your question, I like to have more informational content than personal but it is up to you. It is up to you to set the optimum.

  3. Hi,

I used to think that it was as easy to make money with blogging as you describe at the begging of the article, but unfortunately it’s not. You need to work hard and provide your reader with good content.

It was a great article, keep up the good work.

You can only get something as valuable as making a living if you provide something similarly valuable in return. At leas that’s my philosophy on blogging. What do you think?

    1. Dear Lona,

      Thank you for your comment.

You are correct. As I stated many times, creating money online takes time and it is not an easy task. I agree with your philosophy. You need to put in the work, and not only that but to make sure you are doing your job properly and not just hard.

      Best regards,

  4. I am on the constant hunt fot the best ways hot to make my blog more effective. You have offered some highly valuable nuggets. You really drew me in with how I can use personall stories. I think that would create a lot of engagement:)

Oh wait, is that what you have kinda done here. You got me commenting.

Seriously Strahinja I am very grateful for your freely given knowledge.

    All the best

  5. Hi Strahinja,

That’s a very informative article. Thanks a lot for it.

I recently was curious about what Google considers to give rankings to websites/posts. I went researching within their own developer tools articles and found out a lot that you’ve given us. For instance, Google really likes trustworthy content. Their algorithm also looks at professionally made formatting that takes care of user experience.

I also agree with you that link building is quite key. Google says that they also consider backlinks and citations.

As a person that has already achieved financial freedom, kindly share with us your full online business story with the ups and downs? Personally, I need that inspiration!

    Boniface from AndroidBix.
